Pinion Brake Caliper

Pinion brakes see a lot of use during a demolition derby event.  You should regularly inspect your braking system for wear. If your brake caliper encounters excessive heat the seals can be damaged causing leaking and sticking.  It seems like parts fail at the worst possible times like the night before the derby or after a heat before the feature.

Keep a spare caliper in your parts inventory so you can easily swap out in the event of a failure.
